Our perfect fit. The Head of Distribution Center South can manage and lead the Distribution Center to deliver the services at the level agreed with the wider operations and business team while focusing on the 5 Key Goals of Distribution Quality, Consumer experience, Cost Efficiency, Process Excellence and Safety. The role acts as a senior leader of the organization ( approx. 90 pers.) where people leadership as well as local representation (eg. Customs, suppliers) is required.

How you'll help us. Based out of our DC South located in Garons ( 30, Gard, France) and reporting to the Director of Distribution EMEA, as part of the role, you'll:
• Proactively contribute to ASICS distribution strategy and development in conjunction with your team to further professionalize the operations within the building and cross departmental.
• Assure all SLA are aligned with the omnichannel business owners and executed to at any time.
• Develop and manages DC performance by implementing measurable objectives and relevant KPIs for all DC processes, within the allotted time, in line with the overall organizational strategy of the European supply chain
• Set and define the standards necessary to meet the objectives described above. Manage and drive the performance of the DC team and suppliers to achieve established standards.
• Assume responsibility for budgetary control for all operations involving DC
• Ensure achievement of financial and non-financial budget targets, maximizing efficiency and performance at the DC level
• Identify current and future needs for site warehousing operations. Develops a strategy, plans, and the capacity of the teams to achieve the objectives set
• Assure all customs and local requirements are fulfilled
• Represent ASICS in front of local external parties (eg. Suppliers, customs office, city office, …)
• Execute and drive procurement tenders in collaboration with AEB procurement team
• Ensure compliance with all company and national health and safety regulations
• Build the appropriate structure to be able to manage the respective organization effectively, identify and develop the future talents and create realistic succession scenarios for key positions
• Ensure appropriate leadership skills are present at every level by creating a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are coached, trained and provided with career opportunities through development
• Provide team members/ peers and all stakeholders with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and distribution objectives
• Work cross-functionally with all support functions ( HR/ Finance…) provide necessary advise to solve any issues concerning the operation of the warehouse.
• Lead and develop a DC management team of 4, including 3 direct reports
More about you.
• Master Degree, preferably with focus on Supply Chain Management
• Fluent English & French (verbal and written),
• Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• SAP FMS/ EWM and BI knowledge beneficiary
• Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
• At least 10 years of successful experience in a position of responsibility in a distribution center.
• Experience in Distribution Center and /or transportation logistics or 3PL. Understanding of O2C and SCM processes highly recommended.
