As our legal counsel, you will be an experienced lawyer with a background in commercial contracts, corporate and compliance matters, preferably with some experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries. As part of a team, You will handle a variety of matters from the full spectrum of Evotec’s commercial activities, provide legal advice to the business on a range of topics and support the French operations and business on data protection, regulatory and other compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
You will be supporting the French operations and French enabling functions on all matters of contracting, compliance and corporate transactional and legal matters: this includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all kinds of commercial agreements (in particular supply and procurement related agreements, license, collaboration agreements, material transfer agreements, software and IT agreements, confidentiality, consultancy agreements, and other types of commercial contracts).
Support operations and other functions in France on legal and compliance matters.
Provide legal advice and support for interdisciplinary projects
Prepare and review standard operating procedures, policies, and contract templates, and contribute to process improvement initiatives in the legal team.

Qualifications
Fully qualified (French) lawyer.
In-house and/or private practice experience in the Pharmaceutical/life sciences sector would be a plus
Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
Clear and open communication style to interact effectively across functional, geographic, and cultural boundaries within the company and externally.
Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills. Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all contractual documents.
Self-starter who is resourceful and able to work effectively both independently as well as with a team.
Solid negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Can handle the complexity of the work under pressure and meet deadlines while remaining highly organized, prioritising, and managing multiple tasks, and providing high-quality work.
