As part of CJ growth, we continue to expand in Europe, and we are today looking for our VP Sales (H/F) – French market.
Job Description The VP Sales France will be leading the CJ France Business Development team responsible for building and executing a sales strategy selling CJ products in the French (FR) market.
The VP Sales will also be part of the Leadership team in France (alongside with Country Manager, Client Development Directors, and Publisher Director) developing and executing the strategy for CJ France. The role will report into the CJ France Country Manager.
Additionally, the VP Sales will join CJ Europe New Business leadership group to align our efforts across Europe and to drive a consistent pan European/global sales strategy approach.
We are looking for a high-performing VP Sales.The successful candidate will meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The role’s responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans as well as fostering a group of talent sales managers.
As part of the role, a cross-functional collaboration with all different departments (client development, publisher development, marketing…) will be key to be successful on the position.
Responsibilities:
As VP Sales, you represent the company effectively by developing comprehensive knowledge of its offerings and you are accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition (from Tier1 to Tier3) by developing and executing a client sales strategy within the French market.
Your mission will be:
Commercial responsibilities :
Build the sales strategy in alignment with the FR BU goals and strategic objectives
Define and implement sales processes, methodologies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive sales effectiveness and productivity. Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline sales processes and efficiencies.
Ownership of the full sales lifecycle from market analysis, prospection, opportunity identification, pitch to close, including growth forecast and report:
Conduct incisive and insightful research of markets and competitors & market analyses
Identify and target potential clients in the affiliation industry within the local market
Develop a robust sales pipeline by prospecting, networking, and leveraging existing industry contacts
Be responsible for a strong operational rigor around pipeline and activities to drive efficiency and performance
Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories
Lead pitches and client meetings.
Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and handle objections: you will be expected to develop a well-rounded understanding of the technical capabilities of the CJ platform to provide clients with sufficient insight during the sales process
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally across the organization at France, Europe and US level (all departments including not limited to on-Boarding, Operations, Client Development, Publisher Department, Marketing teams)
Network & partnership:
Build, maintain, and grow your network & relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive sales growth at C-level & all levels
Develop strategic partnerships with French affiliate agencies
Build a strong relationship with Groupe agencies
Events :
Maintain a strong presence in the industry through regular active attendance and participation at the companies' events, industry conferences & events, and partner sponsorships.
Proactiveness in identifying new potential industry events to attend.
Team management :
Lead and develop the French business development team including:
Setting team’s targets & objectives in an efficient & ambitious way
Monitor performance: managing team performances to ensure goals for the country are achieved
Provide support to the team in their grow to develop team’s autonomy and seniority
Foster and develop a team culture of high performers and team players
Participate to the recruitment of your team & year-end reviews
Qualifications At least 10 years professional experience in building and leading sales teams in big size organizations
Strong leadership experience, with previous track record of successful sales team management
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales revenue targets
Experience to model forecasts and budgets within digital business
Analytical skills, excellent understanding of numbers, strategic mindset and a structured approach
Very good network in French online-marketing / affiliation industry
Deep knowledge and understanding of digital marketing/SAAS & ideally in affiliation industry
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong selling skills, high customer orientation and excellent communication skills
High proficiency in English, able to lead and perform top level presentation to C level interlocutors in English.
Additional EU language appreciated
Additional Information The candidate will need to be based in our French office (Paris 11ème - Bastille)with ability to travel for business (Europe & international areas).
