POSITION SUMMARY The Legal Counsel EMEA is the legal advisor for the EMEA market that works in close collaboration with EMEA leadership. Based in Paris, Geneva, Frankfurt or working remotely.
Primary Responsibilities Responsibility for the legal oversight of the EMEA region
Advising and supporting internal stakeholders, such as the EMEA management, sales and project execution teams on a wide variety of contractual, commercial and legal matters. Providing guidance, support as well as risk management and mitigation for all EMEA business activities, challenges and opportunities
Focus on the review and negotiation of commercial agreements
Ensure compliance with DSS policies and procedures, ethical practices, company values, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations
Advising on, facilitating, and resolving any legal risk for DSS
Support the business strategy and goals of DSS in EMEA and globally
Coordination and collaboration with all other legal team members to ensure global coverage of legal matters
Training and educating the team on legal matters
Managing external legal counsel across EMEA
Models and supports our core values and mission critical behaviors
Qualified lawyer admitted to practice
Proven experience in an international corporate setting or a reputable law firm
Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
Comprehensive general legal knowledge in various areas of law relevant to a consultancy company, including corporate law, IP law, general commercial law, data protection and compliance
Ability to effectively communicate with and convincingly present to relevant internal stakeholders and third parties
Participation in shaping pragmatic solutions with a business impact
Willingness and interest to work closely with the DSS team and contribute directly to the group's success
Ability to work autonomously and excellent organization skills
Fluency in both written and spoken English
Any other language – such as French or German – will be a plus
